INVESTIGATIONS ON SOME EVEN-EVEN NUCLEIDES. PROPERTIES OF THE SECOND EXCITED STATE

The energy level schemes and the branching ratios from the second excited 21 state were investigated in the eveneven nuclides: Ge/sup 74/, Se/sup 16/, Pd/sup 104/, Cd/sup 112/, Sn/sup 116/, Te /sup 114/, Ban/sup 134/, and Ba/ sup 136/. The relative intensities of gamma rays following the decay of Rb/sup 84/, I/sup 126/, and I/sup 128/ are reported. Experimental arrangements and methods of analysis of complex gamma spectra by gamma and beta spectrometers and coincidence techniques are described. (C.J.G.)
