This study is based on published information relating to the physical and chemical properties of the deep-sea polymetallic nodules on the sea bottom in the Crook Islands Exclusive Economic Zone. It is also based on the application of several known and proven technologies use in applications related to the harvesting, handling and processing of the modules. This volume contains the Executive Summary and includes: Introduction; Harvesting and Transportation; Processing; Nonprocess Facilities; Capital Cost Estimate; Operating Cost Estimate; Project Economics; and Project Implementation.
