RECOMBINATION LOSS IN IONIZATION CHAMBERS IN A PULSED BEAM

Journal Article · · Radiology (U.S.)
OSTI ID:4193080
Ionization chamber recombination loss is discussed for a pulsed beam from a linear electron accelerator having a repetition rate of 60 pulses per second and a pulse length of one microsecond, giving a peak-to-average current ratio of greater than 10/sup 4/. A modified equation is presented for use in formulation of an approximate theory for ionization chamber recombination loss in a pulsed beam. (C.H.)
