The advent of space flight has emphasized the significance of chemical reactions and their kinetics in aerodynamics and other advanced fields of fluid dynamics. Included is a review of the advances made in recent years in this field. The areas of fluid dynamics reviewed are: flow equations of motion and stability, turbulence, vortex flow and rotation, jets and wakes, flow near solid surfaces, multiphase and free-boundary flow, gas dynamics, gas wave dynamics, dynamics of reactive fluids, and dynamics of conducting fluids.
