Radioinduced disturbances and restoration in the secretory function of the stomach and gastrointestinal tract were compared. It was confirmed that changes in the gastrointestinal tract are more pronounced than in the stomach; blood appeared in the gastric juices but did not show up in stomach juices; at various periods the level of fermentation elements was lowered in the gastric juices while pepsin secretion did not change. The restoration time of disturbed Secretion at various sections in the gastrointestinal tract increased as the bond with the central nervous system weakened. (R.V.J.)
