EXPERIMENTAL VERIFICATION OF THE THEORY OF THE SUCCESSIVE PRODUCTION OF STRIATIONS IN A GLOW DISCHARGE

The properties of the stratification wave in the plasma of the positive column in a glow discharge in neon are measured. The measurements are compared with the results of the theory of the successive production of striations and good agreement is found. (auth)
