Items described include a sandwich-type double crystal and ( DELTA E.E) product coincidence circuit for particle-mass and charge discrimination in deuteron-scattering experiments, a gamma spectrometer using a 4 in. x 4 in. cylindrical NaI(TI) crystal, the facilities for machining and packaging hygroscopic scintillators, and the current development status of sodium iodide scintillators.
