SEPARATION OF URANIUM BY REVERSED PHAS-PARTITION CHROMATOGRAPHY
The use of tributyl phosphate on a partition chromatographic column proved to be a convenient and selective method for the separation of uranium from a nitric acid solution. The use of the partition chromatographic column reduced the hazard of manipulating radioactive material, improved the partition of uranium into the organic phase, and had the effect of a large number of manual solvent extractions.
