The nuclear level structure of $sup 140$Nd has been investigated by studying the decay of 5.8-min $sup 140$Pm/subm/ and 10-sec $sup 140$Pm/subg/ with Ge(Li) $gamma$-ray detectors. Sources were produced via the $sup 141$Pr($sup 3$He,4n) reaction. The study of $sup 140$Pm/subg/ decay utilized a helium-jet recoil transport system. Fourteen $gamma$ rays were assigned $sup 140$Pm/subm/ decay and nine were attributed to $sup 140$Pm/subg/ decay. Decay schemes of $sup 140$Pm/subm/ and $sup 140$Pm/subg/ were constructed. Evidence for the low-spin members of the two-phonon triplet in $sup 140$Nd is also presented.
