Studies were made to determine the operating conditions of the control rod drive mechanisms. All control rod drive mechanisms functioned satisfactorily during the performance of this test. Several control rods scrammed while being withdrawn to a height of 69 in. during the minimum running current test: however, these control rods were successfully withdrawn later by increasing the stator current. The data obtained during the performance of this test agree closely with the data obtained in the previous performances. (W.L.H.)
