The kent-Eisenberg model has been modified to calculate the distributions of acid gases between amine solutions and hydrocarbon liquids. Henry`s constants have been determined as functions of temperature and gas loading from the liquid-liquid equilibria data. The hydraulic and mass transfer models with the stage efficiency calculation for sieve-tray columns have been developed for liquid-liquid contactors. The model calculations are compared with experimental solubility data. The liquid hydrocarbon sweetening process has been simulated by AMSIM{trademark}, a simulation program handling both gas and liquid treatings using rigorous non-equilibrium stage models. A satisfactory agreement between the model predictions and plant operating data has been reached.
