The gamma -irradiation of solutions of p-benzoquinone in cyclohexane results in the formation of quinol, 2,5dicyclohexylquinol, and 2,5- dicyclohexylbenzoquinoi It is shown that the presence of quinone causes decreases in the G values (number of molecules per 100 ev) fo drogen and bicyclohexyl production, but hardly affects the yield of cyclohexene. Irradiation of cyclohexane solution bicyclohexyl from irradiated cyclohexane in the absence of added solutes were confirmed by an isotopic dilution method. (auth)
