Air balance in a conditioned space and outdoor air flow control

Journal Article · · Heating, Piping and Air Conditioning
OSTI ID:417980

This article introduces a different point of view, which separates the ventilation and pressurization requirements of a conditioned space from the purpose of using an economizer cycle in an air handling system. This article also proposes that outdoor air flow measurement, other than providing information, if needed, may not be necessary for the ventilation and pressurization control purposes. Consequently, outdoor air flow control for VAV systems can be simplified.
