OXIDATION BEHAVIOR AND PROTECTION OF REFRACTORY METALS

Journal Article · · Corrosion
Relative oxidation behavior and degree to which oxide properties affect the oxidation resistance of Nb, Ta, Mo, W, and Re are presented. Recent work tn development of oxidation-resistant Nb and Ta alloys is reviewed and the current status of protection of Mo by cladding and coating discussed. (auth)
