$sup 37$Cl(p, $sup 3$He)$sup 35$S reaction

Angular distributions of the $sup 37$Cl(p, $sup 3$He)$sup 35$S reaction at 40.2 MeV bombarding energy have been measured for states in $sup 35$S up to 9.16 MeV energy excitation. These data have been analyzed with the distorted- wave Born approximation, and values of the angular momentum L transferred to several states have been deduced. A shell-model analysis of the transitions to the low-lying levels has been performed, and the new information gained about the structure of $sup 35$S is discussed.
