Inclusion of Hole Motions in the Brueckner Theory

The Brueckner theory of nuclear saturation is expanded to include the motion of holes by solving the two-body equation (Bethe-Goldstone) for the case of processes occurring inside the Fermi sea. Equations are given for the amplitude of a physical hole pair or physical particle pair as compared with the physical N particle ground state and it is concluded that for this amplitude there is no healing distance.
