DETERMINATION OF THE CONFIGURATION IN Bi$sup 210$ FROM THE $beta$- TRANSITIONS Pb$sup 210$ $Yields$ Bi$sup 210$ $Yields$ Po$sup 21$$sup 0$ (in German)

From the anomalies in the beta -decays of Pb/sup 210/ and Bi/sup 210/, relations between the shell model wave functions of the ground states of Pb/sup 210/, Bi/sup 210/, and Po/sup 210/ are derived. These relations are however not satisfied by wave functions calculated under the assumption of two-body central forces of zero range. Use was made of the fact that such forces seem to be a gocd approximation for even-even-nuclei (in the case Pb and Po), but not for odd- odd-nuclei (Bi in this case), and the wave function was derived for the 1/sup -/ level of Bi/sup 210/ from the wave functions of Pb/sup 210/ and Po/sup 210/ using the relations obtained from the beta -decay anomalies.
