The rate of the decay K$$°\atop{L}$$ → 2π° has been measured relative to that of K$$°\atop{L}$$ → 3π° using a monoenergetic K$$°\atop{L}$$ beam and a nearly 4π solid-angle detection system of lead-plate spark chambers and shower counters.
