Temporarily growing parametric instability in a turbulent, inhomogeneous plasma

The effect of spatial background turbulence on parametric interactions in an infinite, inhomogeneous plasma with a linear density profile is considered. It is shown that the well-known convective saturation arising from the density gradient can disappear in the presence of turbulence. Absolute instability then occurs. The criteria for the existence of temporally growing modes are presented.
