BOILING WATER REACTOR STUDY--SEPARATE STUDIES
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4170527
A study was made to determine the feasibility of installing reheat steam facilities in conjunction with a selected 106-Mw boiling water reactor nuclear power plant. The equipment required for steam reheating includes moisture separators, sheil and tube type reheaters, drain tanks, intercept and reheat stop valves, turbine design modifications, insulation, and complete piping system. It is contercept and reheat stop valves, turbine design modifications, insulation, and complete piping system. It is concluded that there is no economic merit in the use of steam reheat. (W.L.H.)
