DEPENDENCE OF THE GAMMA-RAY INTENSITY IN THE BETATRON ON THE BASIC PARAMETERS OF THE INTERNAL INJECTION OF ELECTRONS (in Russian)

The effectiveness of internally injecting electrons into a betatron was investigated. A specially designed internal injector was constructed, whose electron-optical system consisted of three electrodes: a cathode, a focusing electrode, and an anode. The performance of the internal injector was then compared with that of an external injector which possessed the same electron- optical system. Both injectors were placed in the vacuum chamber at the medium plane and at the same distance away from the equilibrium orbit. The measurement of the intensity of the bremsstrahlung radiation showed that for the same injection parameters the intensity obtained from internal injection was the same as that obtained from the external injector.
