Oxidation of binary, ternary, and quaternary niobium alloys, mostly involving Nb-25 at.% Ti as base alloy, was studied at temperatures of 600, 900, and 1200 deg C and at oxygen pressures of 760 and 0.1 mm of Hg. The studies involve semicontinuous oxidation rate measurements and x-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, and metallographic investigations on oxidized specimens. (auth)
