ON THE EXCITATION OF THE SPONTANEOUS FLUORESCENCE OF SYNTHETIC CaF$sub 2$/ U$sup 3+$ CRYSTALS

Journal Article · · Physica Status Solidi (East Germany) Divided into Phys. Status Solidi A and Phys. Status Solidi B

Recent published experimental results relating to magnetic resonance, absorption, spontaneous fluorescence, and induced emission, on uranium-doped CaF/ sub 2/ crystals are discussed. Experiments are reported, which yielded a dependence of the spectral intensity distribution of the spontaneous fluorescence on the wavelength of the exciting light. Two distinct types of emission spectra were established. (auth)
