Optical model potentials for deuterons, tritons, and helions

The folding model is thoroughly reviewed with a view toward explaining polarization data in deuteron elastic scattering experiments. The discussion is then extended to the scattering mechanism for spin interactions of tritons and helions with heavy and intermediate mass nuclei. In both cases, phenomenological potentials are examined and examples are cited. (8 figures, 1 table, 84 references) (SDF)
