Applications of intense relativistic electron beams to controlled thermonuclear fusion

Conference ·
OSTI ID:4167108
The heating of magnetically confined plasma by intense relativistic electron beams is discussed in terms of two-stream instability heating and high- density plasma heating. Beam focusing for solid-target heating is described along with magnetic field shaping and electromagnetic and MHD instabilities. (MOW)
