Radionuclidic renal imaging and computers

Conference ·
OSTI ID:4167009
Progress is reported in the application of computers to the problem of radionuclidic imaging of the kidneys. Advances can particularly be expected with the advent of high useful flux agents allowing statistically more reliable curves or images from subdivisions of the whole kidney, with the imaging process itself progressively being improved by increase in resolution and speed of Anger cameras. Results are reviewed from studies of regional kidney function using /sup 99m/Tc and $sup 131$I-labeled compounds as tracers. (CH)
