CYLINDRICAL ANTENNA THEORY

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4166588
A Fourier series solution of Hallen's integral equation is developed in such a way that the Fourier coefficients are the unknowns in a system of linear equations. The elements of the matrix of coefficients are given by a highly converant series. Numerical results are obtained for half and full wavelength antennas with half length to radius ratioa of 60 and 500 pi . These results are in quite close agreement with the King-Middleton iterative solutions. A general review of existing theories is included. (auth)
