A PROCEDURE FOR THE DIRECT AND CONTINUOUS DETERMINATION OF RADON IN THE AIR (in French)

Journal Article · · Compt. rend.
OSTI ID:4165904
A method is given for the continuous measurement of the radon concentration in the air. Atmospheric air, after having passed through a paper filter, passes into an airtight decay chamber (200 to 1000 l). At the outlet the particles of the descendants are collected on a filter. The alpha activity of the filter is then measured. The apparatus permits the determination of radon concentrations of 2 x 10/sup 14/ c/l. (tr-auth)
