The effect of the nonlinear resonance of the radial betatron oscillations due to the second harmonic of the magnefic field perturbation and occurring at a frequency of 2/3 in the synchrophasotron is analysed. Ion losses by multiple traversals of this resonance during the acceleration process are estimated. (auth)
