MICROANALYSIS WITH THE AID OF ION EXCHANGERS. PART XXII. DETECTION OF NANOGRAM AMOUNTS OF MOLYBDENUM(VI) WITH TIRON

A new sensitive and selective resin spot test for nanogram quantities of molybdenum(VI) with tiron is proposed. The limit of identification is 8 ng (1 - 5.10/sup 6/) after 1 hour standing. Vanadium(V), chromium(VI), uranium(IV), titanium(IV), palladium(II), platinum(IV), silver(I), and gold(III) interfere. Uranium(VI) (20 ng, 1: 2.10/sup 6/) can be detected similarly. (auth)
