Quadrupole magnetic lenses were tested for proper field distribution and were used to study the focusing of beta rays from a 50-mc sealed source of Sr/sup 90/. Preliminary observations lead to the conclusion that focusing was achieved. (For preceding period see AECU-4632.) (J.R.D.)
