THE SPECIFIC ACTIVITY AND HALF-LIFE OF Np$sup 23$$sup 7$

The specific activity of Np/sup 237/ as determined by absolute alpha counting, was found to be 1562 plus or minus 7 disintegrations per min per mu g or a half life of 2.14 plus or minus 0.01 x 10/sup 6/ years. The aliquots of Np/sup 237/ for counting were taken from a standard solution prepared from neptanium metal and checked by coulometric titration. (auth)
