RADIATION ACTIVATION OF PARA-ORTHO HYDROGEN CATALYSTS

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4157784
An investigation was carried out to determine whether improved catalysts for the para-ortho hydrogen conversion couid be obtained by radiation. A series of catalysts was found that were as high as ten times more effective than a standard hydrated iron oxide catalyst at --78 deg C. Included in this series of catalysts were two that were radiatton activated. As a result of this work an improved understanding of the catalytic mechanism was obtained. (auth)
