RADIOCHEMICAL SEPARATION OF $sup 95$Zr AND $sup 95$Nb WITH TRI-n-BUTYL PHOSPHINE OXIDE

Zr/sup 95/ and Nb/sup 95/ behave differently on extraction from nitric acid solutions with tri-n-butyl phosphine oxide (TBPO). These isotopes can be separated efficiently by extraction with 0.005 M TBPO from 2 N mitric acid solution. Zr/sup 95/ was extracted into the organic phase and Nb/sup 95/ remained in aqueous phase. 8eparation from hydrochloric acid solution wnwn as not possible. (auth)
