A review is presented of some unsettled problems in the theory of weak interactions and some related speculations. The discussion is based on the hypotheses of the AV theory developed by Feynmann, Gell-Mann, Marshak, and Sudarshan. One difference in this, with respect to the older description, is that there are couplings of the different particle pairs to themselves, such as (pn-bar)(pn-bar). The possible properties of the weak interactions in isotopic spin space are discussed. A hypothesis of renormalization is formulated for the vector strangenessconserving current, according to the Feynmann-Gell-Mann proposal. The renormalization of the axial vector coupling constant problem is discussed. From the discussion it is seen that many points still remain to be clarified and more accurate experiments are needed.
