Preparation of targets using an isotope separator

The 180$sup 0$ Oak Ridge Sector Isotope Separator (ORSIS) is used for preparing enriched isotopic ion-implanted targets. The ORSIS and receiver and their operation in target preparation are described. Assays of ORSIS targets ($sup 156$Dy, $sup 158$Dy, $sup 162$Er, $sup 164$Er, $sup 154$Gd) are compared with these for calutron separations. (DLC)
