RIGID ROTOR DYNAMICS

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4147066
A theoretical analysis is presented of the dynamics of a cylindrical rotor. The rotor is considered to be a rigid body supported in flexible bearings, and exact equations of motion are derived. Computer programs are used to calculate transient solutions and steady-state solutions. The use of the solutions in designing the rotor for improved performance is considered. (D.L.C.)
