BS>A strict investigation is made of the interaction between elementarr excitations in a Fermi fluid for large values of the anguiar momentum relative to the excitation motion. It is shown that this interaction is of the nature uf an attractiveforce so that the suggestion that He/sup 3/ is superfluid seems to be justified Expressions in terms of observable quantities are derived for the asy- mptotic values of the excitation scattering amplitudes for large values of l. A formula is deduced for the effective mass of an excitation in a Fermi fluid by quantum field theory methods.(auth)
