The preparation of anhydrous zirconium tetrafiuoride was studied using ammonium fluoride acid as fluoridation agert and with the carbide, nitride, or carbcnitride as initial prcduct. The results show that the fluorination has a good yield and that, after sublimation under vacuum, it is possible to obtain a very pure zirconium tetrafluoride. (tr-auth)
