New Bern biomass to energy feasibility study

A detailed study of biomass gasification and enzymatic processing of biomass to ethanol for potential application to Weyerhaeuser`s New Bern, North Carolina pulp mill is reported. This evaluation assessed the potential of these technologies for commercial application to determine which technology currently offers the best opportunity to increase economic value of processing wastes and forest residues in an environmentally sustainable manner.
