Title: TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCE OF THE LOW-MOMENTUM EXCITATIONS IN A BOSE GAS OF HARD SPHERES

Journal Article · · Physical Review (U.S.) Superseded in part by Phys. Rev. A, Phys. Rev. B: Solid State, Phys. Rev. C, and Phys. Rev. D

The pseudopotential method is used to calculate the temperature dependence of the low-momentum excitattions in a Bose gas of hard spheres to an order beyond thet previously known. The correction term is shown to be small compared to the leading term for all temperatures less than the critical tempereture T/sub c/. The excitations become poorly defined for temperatures slightiy below T/sub c/, since it is shown that in this region the excitation lifetimes are quite small. (auth)
