ABS>The oscillation intensity in a hog-cathode mercury vapor plasma was observed as a function of discharge current. The frequency of the strongest oscillation noted increased with the discharge current and was observed simultaneously with the electron oscillation frequency. This main oscillation was identified as the ion oscillation, which proved to be unaffected by a weak magnetic field. It was also coexistent with the other large fluctuation. (D.C.W.)
