RATIO OF Zr/Hf IN A ZIRCON FOUND IN NORTH KAZAKHSTAN IGNEOUS ROCKS (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Geokhimiia
OSTI ID:4144744
An x-ray spectral analysis was nmde of the Zr/Hf ratio in the igneous rocks of Northern Kazakhstan. It was found that in the third intrusion group the ratio Zr/Hf diminishes from the basic rock to acid (for instance in a zircon of melanocratic quartz monzonite the ZrMf ratio is 58 and in more acid microclinic granites it drops to 52). In the second intrusion group such regularity was disturbed by assimilation of surrounding rock which interfered with the ordinary magnetic differentiation proeesses. (R.V.J.)
