DEVICES FOR SECURING FUEL ELEMENTS IN TUBULAR METAL CASINGS FOR USE IN NUCLEAR REACTORS

A device is designed for securing an assembly of fuel elements in a tubular metal casing without screws, bolts, or rivets for use in heavy water reactors. The device comprises rings which are adapted to bear against the inner wall of the casing and mounted at the ends of the fuel elements through locking means arranged in such a manner that, when the rings are engaged, centered, and fixed in the casing, unlocking is impossible.
