Partition Function Ratios for Molecules Containing Nitrogen Isotopes

Journal Article · · Journal of Chemical Physics

Nitrogen isotopic partition function ratios were calculated for the following molecules and ions: N/sub 2/, N/sub 2/O, NO, NOCl, NO/sub 2/, NO/sup -// sub 2/, NO/sup -//sub 3/, and N/sub 2/O/sub 4/. All available isotopic and and anharmonic data were used, and values of Q/sup 15//Q/sup 14/ are tabulated for temperatures at intervals from 100 to 600/sup deg /K. Isotopic equilibrium constants calculated from the partition function ratios are compared with those that were observed experimentally.
