Excitation functions have been determined in the 10 to 20 MeV energy region for the reactions Ti 46(n,2n)Ti 45, Zn 66(n,2n)Zn 65, In 115(n,2n)In 114m (49.2 d) and Au 197(n,2n)Au 196 by means of the activation technique. There is considerable scatter among existing data for these reactions in the 13 to 15 MeV energy region. Evidence is discussed that these discrepancies are due to deviating assumptions for the decay schemes and insufficient energy resoltution of activity detectors in the past. For the reactions In 115(n,2n)In 114m and Au 197(n,2n)Au 196 the present results are confirming the lowest cross-sections from the existing data. (orig.)
