Magnetic training in pure and doped neutron-irradiated iron (in French)

Journal Article · · Journal de Physique et le Radium
The basis of the magnetic after-effect is described, as well as the main information that can be deduced from the measurements: activation energy; concentration; and anisotropy of the defects. Five magnetic after-effect zones are found on pure iron irradiated at 78 deg K with neutrons. A model is proposed for the defects responsible for these zones. The effect of small amount of nickel is studied.
