DILATOMETRIC ANOMALIES OF BERYLLIUM SINTERED IN ARGON (in French)

During dilatometric analysis of Be of different grades, a consistent anomaly in a supplementary dilatation able to attain 5 x 10/sup -3/ between 850 and 950 deg C was verified in the case of beryllium sintered under argon then forged and rolled. The amplitude of the anomaly varies in the same sense as the heating velocity (cycles of 4, 40, and 200 deg C/ hr). It increases in general with the duration of preliminary heat under vacuum below 815 deg C (annealing accomplished at 450 to 900 deg C from 1 to 300 hr). (P.C.H.)
