Title: THERMODYNAMICS OF THE HYDROGEN SULFIDE-WATER SYSTEM RELEVANT TO THE DUAL TEMPERATURE PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF HEAVY WATER. Technical Report 58B

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4139938

Thermodynamic values for the liquid and gaseous phases of H/sub 2/S--H/ sub 2/O mixtures, including the light and heavy hydrogen compounds, were evaluated relevant to the dual-temperature process for heavy water production. The data were correlated and extended by interpolation or extrapolation generally for the temperature range 0 to 140 deg C and for pressures up to 300 psi. The data were used to examine the thermal-feedback effects in the process, as a particular example of the behavior of counter-current process thermal effects. (auth)
