A SIMPLIFIED $beta$-RAY EXTRAPOLATION CHAMBER

The design and calibration of an extrapolation chamber for the measurement of surface dosages emanating from ore resistant t -sources are described. The unit can be used to measure dosages from ore resistant t -ray plaques or other sources of various sizes and intensities. It is a versatile low- cost instrument of quite simple construction. It is designed for direct insertion into the multiple resistor turret of a commercial vibrating-reed electrometer. (auth)
